Alright, so woke up and had to take a shower in the dark since apparently the power was out at my house. NOT COOL! Anyways, got to Lab half an hour early and ran into a guy form my lab last semester on the way there. We waited outside. Saw John and talked with him for a bit. So, after that, Brittney showed up and was in disbelief that I was there before her! HAH! So, after that, we all checked in. That was not fun! My small locker had a bottle of soap in it (for some bizarre reason) and it leaked a bit onto my watch glasses and conical flasks. the beakers had some salt left inside of them and the test tubes had some residue and I was missing a 10 test tubes, a test tube block, a few beakers, a few flasks, and a wire guaze. It also had a ring clamp, extra thermometers, and an extra funnel (None of these should’ve been in there)? So, that was all a mess and took forever for me to figure out what I needed to get from the stock room. Anyways, after that, I checked my supplemental locker and turns out the test tube block was in there. Bizarre person, whoever had it before I did. So, afterwards, started working on the lab. And we had to check out volumetric pipettes from the stock room. So, Brittney, Hung and I were cleaning them after we finished and Brittney broke the pipette in the sink. And she didn’t notice and I was like “Uh…didn’t that [the bottom fourth of the pipette] use to be on your pipette?” and she stared at it and said “DAMMIT!” Yep, awesome! So, we went to return them, and she had to tell the stock room girl she broke it and got that all sorted out. They’ll be billing her shortly for that. LOL!
Anyways, after we finished the write-up, it had been 4 hours since we had first got into the lab, and we left. And got some food at the student union and walked over to our Bio lecture and ate in there briefly before the lecture started. Lecture was interesting. It was on proteins and lipids. I was actually genuinely interested! Fascinated even! :D So, that was great. Got out at 1:20pm and it felt like it was 5:00pm! Not cool. So, then as usual, there was a traffic jam of people trying to get out of the garage at this time, so I ended up waiting there for 20 minutes in the queue. And…now…I’m home…so…more reading… -__-
